IPS: Duesenberg names driver - Jeff Simmons

CHICAGO, IL --- Keith Duesenberg, President, Keith Duesenberg Racing, announced Jeff Simmons as driver for his team during this season's Infiniti Pro Series. Simmons, 26, presently of New York, New York, began his racing career at 5 years of age.

CHICAGO, IL --- Keith Duesenberg, President, Keith Duesenberg Racing, announced Jeff Simmons as driver for his team during this season's Infiniti Pro Series.

Simmons, 26, presently of New York, New York, began his racing career at 5 years of age. He is a veteran of the United States Formula 2000 Championship and the Barber Dodge Pro Series. In 1998, in the Barber Dodge Pro Series, Simmons won three races, was runnerup four times and took three pole positions in route to winning the championship in his rookie year. The following season, Simmons won his second Barber Dodge title again winning three races. In 2000, Simmons contested the Indy Lights Championship finishing seventh overall.

"I am excited about becoming part of the Western Union Speed Team," said Simmons, referring to Western Union sponsorship of Keith Duesenberg Racing. "Western Union and Keith Duesenberg Racing are both professional are an awesome combination."

Keith Dusenberg added, "we are delighted to welcome Jeff to our team to pilot our Western Union Speed Team Dallara during the 2003 Infiniti Pro Series. Many thanks to Mike Yerington and everyone at Western Union to keep the Duesenberg tradition alive."

The Western Union Speed Team plans to run the entire 2003 Infiniti Pro Series schedule. The team is managed by Dave McMillan.
