INDIANAPOLIS, Thursday, May 15, 2003 -- Craig Dollansky is looking to make his debut in the Infiniti Pro Series an event to be remembered. The O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series standout will attempt to qualify for the Freedom 100, while at the same time flying daily from Indianapolis to compete nightly with the O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series.
May 15th and 16th will be busy days for Dollansky, who will participate in practice sessions and qualifying for the Infiniti Pro Series, then board a plan bound for Mechanicsburg, PA, where he will compete in O'Reilly World of Outlaw Series events at the Williams Grove Speedway both nights. After competing in the Freedom 100 on May 17th, Dollansky will fly to Hagerstown, MD, to honor his World of Outlaws Series commitments at the Hagerstown Speedway.
Dollansky, who is currently 3rd in O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series points, is looking forward to the challenge.
"I try to train as much as I possibly can, and I think that my physical endurance training will play a major role in my adaptation to my upcoming travel," Dollansky said. "Im accustomed to long hours on the road, as the World of Outlaws series competes in over 90 events nationwide every year. Ive made arrangements for a plane to shuttle me between the Infiniti Pro Series event and my O'Reilly World of Outlaw Series commitments. Im looking forward this week, especially getting to compete at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway."
Dollansky will be piloting the #33 VMAC/Karavan Trailers/FattFro Motorsports entry fielded by the renowned Brian Stewart Motorsports in the Inaugural Freedom 100. While this will be Dollanskys first career asphalt racing event, he has earned several prestigious awards competing in the O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series. Thus far in 2003, Dollansky has earned 9 Top-5 finishes and 20 Top-10 finishes in the prestigious sprint car series.
