Forsythe Championship Racing, Ltd. 1999 PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship

Bosch Spark Plug Grand Prix - Round Three Nazareth, Pennsylvania April 30-May 2, 1999

Circuit: One-mile oval Race: 100 laps Broadcast: Same Day Coverage - ESPN2 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST

Sunday Race - Dare Does It at Nazareth

Airton Dare, #1 Banestado Lola - won race:

"When we got here, we were struggling with the setup. It was the same setup that Cristiano (da Matta) used last year when he won here. I wanted to completely change it, but the guys kept me cool and we just kept working on it and found the right direction. They did a great job."

On the pass for the lead (lap 13):

"It wasn't easy. I knew I had to take a risk to pass Oriol (Servia) and I knew I had to do it then. It would be hard to pass later. He got confused with the lapped cars and I took the chance."

On former teammate Cristiano da Matta's advice during the race:

"Cristiano was talking to me through (team manager) Steve Dickson. He was giving me a lot of tips from his race here last year."

Guy Smith, #6 Swift Caravans Lola - finished 10th:

"The car was loose and it just got worse as the race went on. Congratulations to Airton. He flew the team flag today."
