AFS RACING/ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT FIRESTONE INDY LIGHTS NOTES AND QUOTES, POST-RACE CHICAGOLAND 100

CHARLIE KIMBALL, #26 TEAM LEVEMIR® FLEXPEN® CAR

"It's really disappointing to have that happen. I was just sort of settling into the race pace. The car was pretty good. We were going to be really good, it was just tight up front. We just caught out with the #2 car out front and I had to check up with the #7 on the outside. I got a little loose just in the dirty air and #26 Levemir® FlexPen® car just stepped out. I caught it but the #10 car was outside between me and the wall. That collected me and sent me up in the air."

MARTIN PLOWMAN, #27 TEAM AFS RACING/ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT CAR

"I was just running a solid race; felt good running side-by-side. Going into turn 3, I was heading into the wall with a flat rear tire. While in the pits, the team told me there was a huge mark in the sidewall. I went out again to regain the front spot and hope that a flag would come out to get my lap back. The second thing happened with somebody from the same team. I don't know if it was coincidence or bad luck. The car was awesome even if I wasn't feeling well. To get my second pole of the season and lead a bunch of laps was great. A big thanks to my crew and the Chicagoland medical center this weekend. I'm sure we'll get some points back next weekend."
