The Yellow Party roars Into Houston

Hunter-Reay's Yellow Party is hoping to raise more big money for charity.

Although the last six laps of this year’s Indianapolis 500 saw a yellow party of sorts on the track, off the track, The Yellow Party swung into high gear at its second of five visits to the IndyCar schedule.

This upcoming weekend will be the third of said visits, at the Shell & Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston will witness AutoNation and Lennar’s co-presentation of The Yellow Party at the AutoNation Mercedes Benz of Houston Greenway on June 26th.

The main beneficiaries of this year’s Houston Yellow Party will be the MD Anderson Cancer Center and Racing For Cancer, Ryan Hunter-Reay’s non-profit organization dedicated to helping promote early detection of cancer.

At the Houston Yellow Party, Texas native Kayla Conn will be performing and there will be a silent auction

Previous 2014 Yellow Parties have seen sizable donations to RFC through auctions, including $15,000 for a gown modeled by Ryan Hunter-Reay at the Long Beach party, a painting done at the Indianapolis party by Bill Patterson that sold for $11,000 and a fully customized golf cart was sold for $22,000. Racing For Cancer’s goal is to raise $2 million through The Yellow Party in 2014.

AutoNation will match every dollar raised by RFC at The Yellow Party.

And, as a reminder from Beccy Hunter-Reay, “Early detection is key. If you feel you have something going on, please get it checked!"
