HOLE IN THE WALL CAMPS DRIVER RAHAL FINISHED 11TH IN THE BOMBARDIER LEARJET 550k; McDONALD'S DRIVER WILSON MADE CONTACT AFTER RUNNING 14TH

Justin Wilson, No. 02 McDonald's Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "It felt like the car was sliding around a lot; it was difficult to hang on to but we were able to move forward. I was pleased with the progress we were making; I think the McDonald's car was pretty quick. I had just started to settle down and I was happy where I was. I was ready to sit there for another couple hundred laps but something happened up the road and I got off the power but I just got sucked along and up into the outside wall of Turn 2. We were up inside the top-15 and I was happy so I was just trying to ease off a little bit. I was happy to sit there and let the race unfold but something happened up the road and Buddy (Rice) had to check up so I lifted off the throttle at the exit of Turn 1 and went all the way through Turn 2 off power and just couldn't get the car to stop. I just ran out of road and brushed the outside wall of Turn 2. The car went a long way with no throttle and I just couldn't get it stopped."

Graham Rahal, No. 06 Hole in the Wall Camps Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "First of all I am so happy to bring one home. That's the biggest thing. On that last restart I almost lost it. I had been feeling a vibration for a while but the guys told me everything checked out on the telemetry. The guys did a good job in the pits and so did the engineers. I haven't made their lives easy. We knew if we just kept pounding around we could get a pretty good result and that's what happened. The race was good once we got a lot of green. On the restarts, people go crazy. There are people everywhere and sparks everywhere. It's pretty nerve wracking on those starts. It was pretty fun once we got going. I think we had a little too much drag on our car so we just didn't have enough speed but overall it was pretty good."
