Pocono IndyCar: Final practice canceled, no Sunday warm-up

IndyCar drivers will head into Sunday’s ABC Supply 500 without having run any practice laps since qualifying, as wet weather forced the series to cancel final practice this afternoon.

Although many drivers sampled their race setups in morning practice, the deletion of today’s practice session, without being replaced by a raceday warm-up, leaves an air of uncertainty for tomorrow’s race.

Several drivers have been experimenting with the new front wing flaps and wickers but few have drawn any absolute conclusions.

Despite rain hitting Pennsylvania hard, on and off, for the last two days, Sunday’s forecast around the Pocono Raceway area suggests the event will be rain-free. Current predictions suggest a maximum temperature of 66degF and cloud cover.

The TV broadcast will start at 1.30pm local (Eastern) time, with the green flag set to drop at 2.10pm.
