Andretti & Kanaan Head Practice at Mid-Ohio

Andretti Green Racing's Marco Andretti jumped to the head of the time charts during the final moments of the second of two practice sessions Friday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to lead the way in preparations for Sunday's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.

Andretti's teammate, Tony Kanaan, led the morning session to end the day second fastest, just one tenth of a second off the overall pace. Team Penske's Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe finished the day third and fourth, respectively, with IndyCar Series championship points leader Scott Dixon rounds out the top five. Sunday's 85-lap race, IndyCar's second natural road-course event this season, starts at 1:30 p.m. EDT, with live television coverage on ABC.

Marco Andretti (#26 Andretti Green Racing Honda) quickest in practice today: "We found a good overall balance for the car early in the day, but we were still lacking a bit of overall grip. The track was changing throughout the day and we kept making adjustments, as everyone was. Since the track was last re-sealed [during the off-season], it's lost a bit of grip [traction] and that's the problem everyone's been facing. Qualifying tomorrow in this heat will be like three mini-races. It will be tough work."
