Dario Franchitti, #27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We definitely saw everything today. We saw beautiful sunshine and horrendous fog. I think the ArcaEx team is a lot closer than we were in the test. We still need to get the balance more comfortable for me. The car is doing a couple of things that I don't really like on a road course car. I think if we work on that, the lap time will come on its own. This morning was great; running in the rain. I haven't done that in a long time."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"It's been three years since I ran in the rain on a road course, but we had a lot of fun this morning. I think Team 7-Eleven feels pretty comfortable with our setup for dry conditions and now I think we feel pretty good about what we've got for the 'wet.' We just need to keep up with the conditions the rest of the weekend and make sure that we've got a winning race car for Sunday."
Dan Wheldon, #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I think the Klein Tools/Jim Beam car feels pretty good. I thought the balance of the car was good in the afternoon and I'm looking forward to qualifying. The team always gives me good cars and that's what I expect to have for the race."
Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"I struggled a bit today. It just wasn't my day. The XM Satellite Radio team came to Watkins Glen with a little different setup than what we tested here and it wasn't comfortable for me. We planned to try something different here to find extra speed and it just didn't work out. I'll go back and talk to my teammates because I think they're a little more comfortable and see if we can get a little better starting spot tomorrow."
