THE GREEN FLAG DROPS ON 1999 SEASON TICKETS
FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Oct. 23, 1998) - Texas Motor Speedway has improved its schedule and will kick off 1999 season ticket sales on Monday, Oct. 26.
And, for the first time, season ticket packages are specially priced, saving fans money when compared to the purchase price of individual race tickets.
Once again, Texas Motor Speedway offers race enthusiasts a full schedule of exciting racing action. The 1999 season will include: the Saturday, March 27 Coca-Cola 300 NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division race; the Sunday, March 28 PRIMESTAR 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race; the Friday night, June 11 Pronto Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race; the Saturday night, June 12 Longhorn 500 Pep Boys Indy Racing League event; the Friday night, Oct. 15 Bluebonnet 300 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race; and the Sunday, Oct. 17 Lone Star 500 Pep Boys Indy Racing League event - the final race of the Indy Car season.
"Our fans say they wanted more racing and bigger events," said speedway general manager Eddie Gossage. "We've worked hard all year to make that happen. We're bringing the final race of the 1999 Pep Boys Indy Racing League to Texas. We've added a second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. And Jeff Gordon has already announced he will run in the Coca-Cola 300 NASCAR Busch Series event in March."
With the 1999 season ticket offer, individuals are able to take advantage of special offers. The 1999 package allows spectators to view each racing event from the same seats for the entire season plus season ticket holders get a price break when compared to purchasing tickets for individual racing events. As an additional bonus, season ticket holders will also receive a year's subscription to Speedway Today, Texas Motor Speedway's official quarterly newsletter.
Season tickets, which range from $160-$350, may be purchased at the Texas Motor Speedway ticket office 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. To place orders by phone or for more information, call the Texas Motor Speedway Ticket Hotline at (817) 215-8500.
Remaining individual race tickets for 1999 will go on sale at a later date.
