Fernandez Pleased with Pre-Race Preparations
Adrian Fernandez concluded final practice activities for the Bombardier 500k today, logging the fourth fastest time overall at Texas Motor Speedway. Fernandez, who will start ninth for tomorrow's 200-lap/300-mile race, will be making his first career race start on the 1.5-mile oval and his fourth IRL IndyCar® Series start.
The Bombardier 550k will be broadcast live on ESPN at 8:00 pm ET on Saturday, and will also be carried on the IMS Radio Network and at www.indyracing.com.
Weather: At the opening of practice (2:00 pm CT), 94F under sunny skies; 90 F for the final practice session (5:15 pm CT) under partly cloudy skies with winds out of the south at 14 mph and gusts to 20 mph.

"We'll see what happens tomorrow but the car feels good. Obviously everything here is about track position and moving in traffic and all that. Every car is very close."
