PHOENIX, Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 - Event happenings leading up to and during the Indy Racing Northern Light Series Test in the West on Feb. 9-10 at Phoenix International Raceway:

SCHEDULE: The Test in the West will take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (MST) Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10.

WATCH INDY RACING FOR FREE: The main grandstand at Phoenix International Raceway will be open all day Feb. 10 for spectators. Admission is free. Spectators should enter the track through Gate 7.

SIGN HERE, PLEASE: Drivers from the Indy Racing Northern Light Series will sign autographs at noon Feb. 10 on the front straightaway at Phoenix International Raceway.

ON THE WEB: Live timing and scoring reports from the Test in the West will be available on the World Wide Web at www.indyracing.com. Testing reports, driver quotes and notes also will be posted on the site daily.

RED CROSS RIDES: The American Red Cross and Phoenix International Raceway will provide Red Cross donors with rides around the racetrack in Pace Cars from 12:30-1 p.m. Feb. 10.

PENNZOIL CAR ON DISPLAY: A Pennzoil Indy Racing car will be on display Feb. 8 at the Phoenix International Raceway Media Center as part of the Test in the West Media Day. The car also will be on display Feb. 10 outside of Gate 7 for fans to view as they enter the track.
