IRL: St. Pete: Chip Ganassi Racing Saturday report

#9 Scott Dixon- Toyota / Panoz /Firestone

"In the first part of the qualifying lap I was pushing really hard but I got on the gas a bit early into turn 10 and slid out a bit and tagged the tires with both the right front and rear tires and bent the rear tow. The Target Toyota is really consistent and Firestone did a god job bringing the perfect tire for these streets. It'll be an interesting race with only 2 fuel stops and starting in the middle of the grid. There are some good places to pass so I'll just be looking for the opportunity to make my way through the field."

#10 Darren Manning- Toyota / Panoz /Firestone

"I'm pretty disappointed really because the Target crew gave me a car that I know was good enough to make the qualifying shootout but unfortunately we had some gremlins that ruined my run. That just means that the race will be that much more exciting for fanswith all the passing I'll be doing."

#33T Ryan Briscoe- Toyota / Panoz /Firestone

Ryan Briscoe was the fastest of the Target Toyotas. He qualified in the #33T Target back up car after an accident in the first practice session on Friday.

"I feel like I still had a little more speed in the car but I didn't quite put it all together in one lap.

The Target team has worked really hard to get the back up race ready and I'm looking forward to getting out there."
