Engine Problems Stop Harrington/Liebengood In Motorola Cup at Road Atlanta

BRASELTON, Ga., April 17 - Scott Harrington and Howie Liebengood's day ended very early Saturday afternoon in the Motorola Cup race at Road Atlanta, as their car retired with engine problems. They ended up 52nd in the final rundown.

Their class, Sports, was won by an Acura driven by John Bourassa and Lance Stewart. Andy Lally and Mike Johnson were second, and Mark Hillestad and Tim Callahan were third.

Overall, the event was won by the Grand Sports car of Devon Powell and Doug Goad.

Harrington will now concentrate on his next race, which is the Pep Boys Indy Racing League event at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday night, May 1. After that it'll be time for his biggest race of the year, the Indianapolis 500. The track opens for practice on May 15; pole day is May 22; Bubble Day is May 23 and the race itself will be held on Sunday, May 30.
