When Robby Unser returns to the Pikes Peak area for this weekend's Radisson 200 at Pikes Peak International Raceway, he will meet with familiar surroundings and a history of tremendous success. For years, Robby, the youngest member of the first family of U.S. racing, competed in and practically dominated the "Race to the Clouds" at Pikes Peak. As a family, the Unsers have attained over thirty victories in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, with Robby providing nearly a fifth of them.

Robby's winning tradition at Pikes Peak Hill Climb began in 1988, when Robby won the Open Wheel class at the peak. He followed that up with wins in the same class in 1989 and 1992. In 1993, Robby set the qualifying record for the climb but did not gain another win until 1995 when he once again took class honors in the Open Wheel division. In 1996, Robby took a shot at the Super Stock Truck division, and continued his mastery of the peak with a convincing and victorious performance.

Robby has written his name throughout the history and record books of the world's most prestigious hillclimb, and has made his mark on racing at Pikes Peak. This weekend, piloting the Jonathan Byrd - McCormack Motorsports / WorldBestBuy.com #30, Robby Unser hopes to makes his mark on the oval at Pikes Peak International Raceway and start a new legacy and tradition of Unser dominance in Colorado Springs.
