Richmond, VA (June 26, 2004)--- The Richmond International Raceway lived up to its nickname of the "bullring" tonight for the SunTrust Indy Challenge. Scott Sharp, driver of the No. 8 Delphi entry, held is own in the field after starting 17th and at the conclusion of the 250-lap event Sharp was running ninth.

The Kelley Racing team will now return to their shop in Indianapolis to prepare for their next event to be held on July 4 in Kansas City, Kansas.

Scott Sharp -- #8 Delphi/Dallara/Toyota/Firestone

"Ultimately, the Delphi team was able to salvage a good finish. Early on the car was very loose and it snapped on me a couple times which allowed some guys to get around me. We knew the leaders would be coming fast so we had to run the best we could. After our first pit stop the car got better and there were times when we were running some really good laps with the leaders; however it took awhile for our tires to get up to pressure and that hurt us quite a bit on a track where the lap times are 16 seconds."
