INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Lafayette Venetian Blind has partnered with the Indy Racing League's Playa Del Racing IndyCar Series team as an associate sponsor of the No. 21 Panoz/Toyota/Firestone driven by Jaques Lazier, commencing with the team's debut in the 89th running of the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race on May 29, 2005, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Playa Del Racing Vice President Susan Schafer announced the long-term marketing agreement Thursday from the team's Indianapolis office.

Lafayette Venetian Blind (www.lafvb.com), headquartered in West Lafayette, Ind., manufactures a vast product line of custom window treatments and room fashions under the brand name of Lafayette Interior Fashions.

Playa Del Racing, which loosely translated means "Beach Racing" in Spanish, is a new Indy Racing League IndyCar Series team founded on old principles: To have fun and go fast. Although the 2005 Indianapolis 500 will be the team's first race, it is made up of seasoned professionals that have years of racing experience, with numerous wins and championships on their resumes.

The addition of Lafayette Venetian Blind brings another exciting partner to our race team," said Schafer. "We are extremely excited to bring a home interior fashions company, with products of unmatched quality, to the Indy Racing League as a new sponsor with a new team. Lafayette Venetian Blind is a company whose products are used by race fans throughout the world."

Since 1950, Lafayette Venetian Blind has gained a significant reputation in the window fashions industry for their quality products and efficient service. They are especially proud of their fast, point-to-point delivery service through their own specialized fleet of trucks and three regional distribution centers. Their unique manufacturing process combines the proficiency of high-tech equipment with the quality of handcrafted workmanship that gives them the fastest turnaround time in the industry.

"With a strong, innovative and entrepreneurial-spirited work force, Lafayette Venetian Blind looks forward to the challenges and successes that lie ahead," said Joe Morgan, president and an owner of Lafayette Venetian Blind.
