Yasukawa carries momentum into Honda Indy 225
Super Aguri Fernandez Racing heads to the Rocky Mountain region this weekend for Round Six of the IRL IndyCar Series. Located 90 minutes from downtown Denver and 15 miles from Colorado Springs in Fountain, Colorado, Pikes Peak International Raceway's one-mile tri-oval will host the Honda Indy 225 on Sunday -- the second in a string of four races in five weeks.
Rookie challenger Roger Yasukawa continues to build momentum after a pair of top-10 finishes in the past two events, and is looking forward to returning to short oval racing this weekend.
Roger Yasukawa, Driver - #55 Panasonic ARTA Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
* Will be making his sixth career IRL IndyCar Series start
* Currently leads the Bombardier Rookie of the Year standings
* Tied for 13th in the championship standings with 80 points
* Best IRL career finish was ninth at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend
* Best IRL career start was 10th at Homestead and Phoenix
"In racing really back-to-back since Indy, the rhythm is building up. Every time I get to the track and get into the car, I am more confident and I am more confident as well in racing with other drivers. We are looking for another top-10 finish at Pikes Peak. We haven't tested there and the track is a lot different from where we have been the last couple of weeks at Indy and Texas. We need to go there and reset our mind again, especially from a driver's standpoint. We were strong at Phoenix, which is also a one-mile oval, and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't perform well here."
