"The Marlboro Team Penske car was handling very well in the early part of the race. We were able to take the lead in the middle of the first stint. Unfortunately, we just didn't have the longevity at the end of each run as some of the other cars had. The car started sliding a bit in traffic and we lost a few positions throughout the race. We kept hanging on and we stayed with the lead pack the entire day. I was able to pass the #27 car (Franchitti) on the last restart and brought the car home in third. I would've liked to have come up with a win, but we still had a very good result as we moved into a tie for third in the points."

"Today was not a great day -- I haven't had a day like this in a long time. We had a good start and I was able to maintain the lead early in the race. The Marlboro Team Penske car wasn't handling well towards the end of the first stint and was really loose during the second stint. When the yellow came out (lap 163), we were already a lap down so we decided to gamble and stay out to get back on the lead lap. Unfortunately, the gamble didn't pay off. There wasn't another yellow so we had to pit under green which put us two laps down. The good thing is that we are still in the points chase (Castroneves is tied for third with 167 points). We need to keep our head down and get ready for Richmond. We're not even half way through the season so it is important we maintain our focus and execute every race weekend."
