Fountain, CO (August 21, 2004)--- Today's Qualifying session was cancelled due to rain so the starting grid for Sunday's 225-lap event has been set based practice times from today's session. Sharp, driver of the No. 8 Delphi entry, will be starting in the 20th position after posting a fast practice time of 167.666 mph. Tony Kanaan will be starting from the pole for tomorrow's race after posting a quick speed 174.311 mph. Dan Wheldon will start second and Vitor Meira will start third. The Honda Indy 225 is scheduled for a 1:45 p.m. green flag (local time) and will be televised live on ABC.

*The Honda Indy 225 will be Sharp's 94th career start, his 86th consecutive IRL IndyCar start--an IndyCar record-- and his seventh season with Kelley Racing.

* Pikes Peak Record--In 2003 Sharp started 10th and finished 11th, while in 2002, he started fifth and finished fifth. At PPIR Sharp has three top-ten finishes and four top-five starts.

*Sharp is currently in 14th place in the IndyCar Series points standings with 190 points.
