Dario Franchitti on the XM Satellite Radio Indy 200:

"We had a good test at Phoenix during the off-season. Last year, all of the Andretti Green cars, and the ArcaEx car in particular, were strong on the 1-mile ovals. So I'm looking forward to getting back on track and putting the disappointment of our non-finish at Homestead behind us."

Dario Franchitti Facts

Phoenix International Raceway will mark Franchitti's 22nd career IndyCar Series start.

Franchitti suffered a mechanical failure just 12 laps into the season-opening event at Homestead- Miami Speedway.

Franchitti recorded two victories in 2004, both coming on 1-mile ovals at Milwaukee on July 25 and at Pikes Peak on Aug. 22.

The driver of the #27 ArcaEx entry ranked fourth in laps led in 2004 with 349.

Franchitti's winning effort at Pikes Peak marked the third IndyCar Series victory by the ArcaEx team, as they also won at Kansas in July 2003, with driver Bryan Herta at the wheel.

Franchitti recorded five top-five finishes in 2004 (Pikes Peak - first, Milwaukee - first, Texas - second,

Nazareth - third, Kansas - fourth).

Franchitti has 12 major open-wheel racing victories and 12 career pole positions.

Allen McDonald, Race Engineer, #27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone, on the XM Satellite Radio Indy 200:

"We were very disappointed with the outcome of the race at Homestead, but the positive thing was that the ArcaEx team was very fast and very competitive. We were the fastest during the Phoenix open test, so we are confident that we have a good setup to begin the weekend with. We hope to build on that and have a good, fast car for qualifying as well as the race."
