Bryan Herta on the XM Satellite Radio Indy 200:
"I'm really looking forward to Phoenix. It's always been one of my favorite tracks, and is probably my favorite oval. Now, to have the race sponsored by XM Satellite Radio, I think it adds a lot of extra incentive for the XM Satellite Radio team to bring home a victory. We've been wanting to get that first win for them badly and I can't think of a better place for it to happen than at their own race."
Bryan Herta Facts
In the season-opening race of 2005, Herta was involved in an eight-car accident that forced him from the race. Herta led five laps at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
He started ninth and finished seventh in the 2004 IndyCar Series race at Phoenix.
Herta drove the XM Satellite Radio car to a ninth-place finish in the 2004 points championship.
Herta placed the #7 entry in the top 10 on 10 occasions in 2004.
Herta scored four top-five finishes in 2004 (Indianapolis - fourth, Richmond - fourth, Kansas - fourth, Chicagoland - second).
Herta has three career major open-wheel racing wins and seven poles.
Herta has one IndyCar Series victory, which came at Kansas Speedway in 2003.
Herta's best start in the IndyCar Series came at Nashville Superspeedway in 2004 when he wheeled the #7 XM Satellite Radio entry from the inside of the second row.
George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the XM Satellite Radio Indy 200:
"I think we've got a really good car for Phoenix. At the test, we couldn't show all of the speed we had in it, but I think we've got more in the car. The XM Satellite Radio team is looking forward to going there and finishing what we couldn't do at Homestead. With this race being sponsored by XM Satellite Radio, it's important to us to try and get our first victory this weekend."
