Countdown to Indy 500

As the month quickly approaches, some questions are left to be answered. The first, and most obvious question is in regards to the driver. PDM driver Scott Mayer, who has started all three of the races in 2003, was not able to complete the Rookie Orientation Program at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and consequently will not be eligible for this years' Indy 500.

"It is a shame, because Scott has the desire to be at Indy," said co-owner Paul Diatlovich. "He has been an integral part of the team, not just this year, but for the past two. It is unfortunate, and we hope that Scott will remain as part of the team in some capacity."

PDM is currently in negotiations with a handful of potential replacements. We will keep you posted, and will make an announcement when the search is complete.

In the meantime, the crew continues to get ready for the long month of May. The car was brought back to the shop, dismantled, and sent to the paint shop. The team also has been delivering equipment to the garages in Gasoline Alley at The Speedway.
