Panther Statement Regarding the Release of Pancho Carter

WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Panther Racing announced today that spotter/driver coach Pancho Carter has been relieved of his duties with Panther, due to a series of incidents detrimental to the team. Carter had been a member of Panther Racing since the 2000 season, and was the spotter/driver coach for Pennzoil Panther driver Tomas Scheckter.

Pancho was instrumental in several of Panther Racing's victories and in both championship seasons of 2001 and 2002. Pancho has consistently been one of the best spotters in the league and has played a major role in the development of our drivers. However, there have been several instances over the course of the last few seasons that were not representative of Panther, and the team felt it best for both parties to part ways.

Panther Racing Team Manager Buddy Lindblom will take over spotting duties for the Menards A.J. Foyt Indy 225.
