The Pennzoil Panther Pack drew the 22nd position for todays qualifying session at Pikes Peak International Raceway. Goodyear qualified the Pennzoil Panther G-Force 4t in 14th position with a time of 20.894 seconds, 172. 298 miles per hour. Goodyear had switched yesterday to his back-up #4t car after an electrical problem in the primary #4 put it on the sidelines yesterday afternoon. "Things are so competitive in the IRL that if you're off just a little bit in your attempt, you can end up like we did in the middle of the pack. We've spent a lot of our time this weekend focusing on a race set-up and we feel like we've still got a good race car" said Team Owner and Manager John Barnes. Driver Scott Goodyear had said prior to qualifying that "starting in the middle here can be tough because the track is short and it gets tough to pass." Goodyear and the Pack still have some things to work on in this afternoons final practice session. "We've still got some things to get set on the car. I'm still not satisfied that the car is where I want it to be, but with a little more adjusting this afternoon I think we'll be there tomorrow." said Goodyear.

The team will go out this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. for the final practice session before tomorrows Radisson 200. Tomorrow's race will be televised on Fox Sports Net at Noon (MDT).
