NAZARETH, Penn. (April 27, 2004) - Helio Castroneves put his Marlboro Toyota on top of the speed charts in both of Friday's practice sessions in preparation for Sunday's Firestone Indy 225 at the Nazareth Speedway.

Castroneves, the defending race champion, registered the fastest lap of the day at 165.667 mph during the afternoon session.

Friday's morning session featured Castroneves and teammate Sam Hornish Jr. in a Marlboro Team Penske one-two. Ironically, the duo finished last year's race in the same order while Hornish was racing for Panther Racing.

Marlboro Team Penske has won twice in the last four years at the track - with Castroneves winning here last year, while Gil de Ferran won in 2000. In addition, de Ferran's Penske dominated the 2002 race before running out of gas on the race's final lap.

Saturday's action resumes with practice from 9:00 - 10:00 before the cars take to the track for qualifying at 11:30 a.m. A Toyota-powered car has qualified on the pole in each of the manufacturer's last three races at Nazareth with Scott Dixon in 2003, Bruno Junqueira in 2001 and Juan Montoya in 2000 all putting Target Chip Ganassi Racing Toyotas on the pole.

Sunday's Firestone Indy 225 will mark the final race of the Nazareth Speedway.
