"The Marlboro Team Penske car was handling very well today, but I'm a little disappointed with our time. I started my run a bit slow and when I finished, I definitely wished I had one more lap. It's always helpful to start on the front row, especially on this track because passing is so difficult. I think we're in good shape for the race. Tomorrow won't be about speed, it'll be about consistency and I feel very confident so we're just going to go for it."

-- Helio Castroneves, Marlboro Team Penske, 2001 & 2002 Indianapolis 500 Winner
-- #3 Marlboro Team Penske Dallara/Toyota
-- Qualified second - 170.849 mph (19.7016 sec.)

"We struggled a little to get a good balance for qualifying. The Marlboro Team Penske car was loose in (turn) two and pushed in (turn) three. Plus, the wind and temperature keep changing so we were chasing it a bit. We worked on the race set-up yesterday and I think we'll be okay for tomorrow."

-- Gil de Ferran, Marlboro Team Penske, Two-Time CART Champion and 2003 Indianapolis 500 Winner
-- #6 Marlboro Team Penske Dallara/Toyota
-- Qualified sixth - 168.520 mph (19.9739 sec.)
