NAZARETH, Pa., Monday, April 15, 2002 -- Event happenings leading up to and during the Firestone Indy 225 on April 19-21 at Nazareth Speedway:
The Firestone Indy 225 starts at 1 p.m. (EDT) April 21. MBNA Pole Qualifying starts at 11:30 a.m. April 20.
Practice sessions start at 11 a.m. (two groups) and 2:30 p.m. (two groups) April 19 and 9 a.m. (two groups) and 4:30 p.m. (all cars) April 20.
On the air:
The Firestone Indy 225 will be televised live on ABC at 1 p.m. (EDT) April 21. "Indy Racing 2Day" will be televised live at noon April 21 on ESPN2.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network will broadcast a 30-minute pre-race show at 12:30 p.m. (EDT) April 21 and the live race broadcast at 1 p.m.
The area IMS Radio Network affiliate is WEEX-AM 1230, Easton, Pa.

Live enhanced timing and scoring reports from Firestone Indy 225 practice, MBNA Pole Qualifying and the race will be available on the Internet at www.indyracing.com. An improved Live Timing and Scoring module will be available, providing more statistical information, including track segment speeds, lap information and much more.

Al's the Grand Marshal: Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Sr. will serve as the grand marshal for the Firestone Indy 225. Unser, who serves as a driver coach for the Indy Racing League, scored his first career win at Nazareth in 1968 when the track was a 1 1/8-mile dirt track. He won the race using Firestone tires.
IN the airport: The Coors Light Indy Racing car will be on display until April 21 at Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown, Pa.
On Ice: The Purex Indy Racing car will be on display April 17 in front of First Union Center in Philadelphia prior to the Philadelphia Flyers playoff game.
