"It was an exciting race and I had a good time out there. It was also a bit tough at times. We were running wide open and there were a few elbows thrown, but we brought it home. A fifth place finish is good for Marlboro Team Penske because it's a small step towards the IRL Championship but an important one (de Ferran is first in the Championship standings with 377 points). We had a consistent car, good pit stops and Roger (Penske) made a great strategy call to bring me in during the second caution (lap 58). We had a good restart at the end and I was able to take the lead, but we just didn't have the speed to stay in front so we tried to fall in line in the draft, which was tough. We've been competitive every weekend, and we need to keep finishing in the top-five. There are four races to go so the Championship is still wide open."

"It was a good day for Marlboro Team Penske. The car was handling very well in the beginning of the race and I was able to stay with the leaders. As the day went on, the track got better, but I developed some understeer about halfway through the race. We made some aerodynamic changes, which made the car handle much better and I was able to fight for the lead at the end of the race. I had a lot of fun out there; everyone drove very aggressively which made it an exciting race. I've been saying all weekend that it would come down to the final laps, and that's exactly what happened. The important thing is that we scored some very valuable points today, and now we're going to move on and focus on the next race."
