J.J. Yeley, driver of the Jonathan Byrd / McCormack Motorsports, #30, served triple duty this weekend. In addition to his time behind the wheel of the Indy car at Kentucky Speedway, Yeley, in the thick of the battle for the USAC Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car Series Championship, competed in USAC sprint races at Attica Speedway in Attica, Ohio, and Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Friday night at Attica, J.J. wheeled his #76 GT Racing sprinter to the third fastest qualifying speed, a third place finish in his heat race, and an eighth place finish in the night's main event.

Saturday night, at the high banked quarter mile in Lawrenceburg, J.J. broke the track record in qualifying, but was bettered by three other drivers, qualifying fourth quick. J.J. followed that with a fourth place run in his heat race and a twelfth place feature run after losing several positions due to a tire problem.

With four races left to run, J.J. stands fourth in points, having amassed six top five finishes, and fifteen top tens.
