HAMILTON COMPLETES INDY REFRESHER BEFORE ALL FOUR VISION RACING DRIVERS HIT THE TRACK TOMORROW

SPEEDWAY, Indiana -- Another sun-drenched day at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway allowed Vision Racing's Davey Hamilton to acclimate himself to both the 2.5-mile oval and the No. 02 HP Vision Racing Dallara/Honda/Firestone after an accident six years kept him out of the cockpit, competitively.

Completing a total of 62 laps and speeds over 220 mph between yesterday and today, it's more than apparent that Hamilton is ready to make his return to the IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500. Hamilton's effort on track today proved to be the third best of six total cars participating in the rookie orientation and refresher opportunity.

On practice:

"It was a second great day in a row for me today. We just worked on coming up to speed again and we did that, but we've also got a long way to go. The HP car is very comfortable and I'm very confident in my abilities and the car. Now we can start working on trimming out the car and looking for additional speed for qualifying. Overall it was a very great day."
