Team Target driver Tomas Scheckter was involved in an accident during today's testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Scheckter hit the wall in turn 3, but did not suffer any injuries in the crash. The driver of the #10 Target Toyota explained the afternoon incident.

"We tried some pretty radical changes and it made the car a little bit too loose," Scheckter explained. "I had just left the pits and I was on my out lap. The, in turn 3 it started to come around. I caught it once, then twice, but it just came around and hit the wall pretty good. It all happened really fast. I'm just glad that it happened on my out lap and not when I was up to full speed."

The private test was in preparation for the 87th running of the Indianapolis 500 to be held on May 25. Teammate Scott Dixon did not participate in the test, as he was recovering from a broken wrist suffered at the Indy Japan 300 in Motegi, Japan on April 13.
