Junqueira Matched his Best Indy 500 Finish of 5th Place Today
Bruno Junqueira, No. 36 PacifiCare/Secure Horizons Honda/G-Force/Firestone: "I think it was a good result for the PacifiCare-Newman/Haas team. For sure we wanted to win but to be honest my car was really bad in traffic and the gears were not right. We had to add downforce through the race. We were on a different strategy than the leaders and when I got the lead the car was pretty fast and I could pull away. Unfortunately the rain came too late. I'm happy with the fifth place finish - I matched my best finish here. I think everybody did a good job to prepare for this race. We raced against the big teams and drivers in this series and were able to get a good result. I hope we have another opportunity to race here, we will be more prepared to finish stronger. I didn't have the car that Buddy Rice had - he and his team did a good job. I am thankful that PacifiCare, Newman/Haas and Honda provided me the opportunity."
