Herta Heads Second-Day Indy Qualifiers

Bouncing back from a Turn One crash on Saturday, Honda-powered Bryan Herta led second-day qualifiers Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, posting an average speed of 219.871 mph for Andretti Green Racing. In all, 26 of the 33 starting spots for the May 30 event were determined this weekend, with

Honda drivers posting 10 of the fastest 13 qualifying speeds. Final "Bump Day" qualifying takes place on Sunday, May 23.

Bryan Herta (#7 XM Radio Andretti Green Racing Honda) Fastest Sunday Qualifier: "The team did a great job getting the backup car ready after the crash yesterday. We didn't need a 221 [mph] average today, a 219 [mph] would do and that's what the crew gave me. I didn't feel too bad getting in the car, but the first time through Turn One -- it all came rushing back. But you just have to push it back down and then the old comfortable feeling returns."
