Weather: Rain throughout the morning with the track opening at 3:00 pm for practice; temperature at 3:00 pm was 75F with overcast conditions and winds out of the south at 14 mph; light rain was reported in Turn One at 3:50 pm, and the track went yellow for moisture in the pit lane at 3:55 pm; the track returned to green at 4:06 pm.

Practice Summary: Fernandez went out for practice at 3:20 pm, making his first run to date in the back-up (T-car); Fernandez completed 14 laps in the 5T car, posting a best lap of 220.629 mph which was good enough for P2 prior to the reports of moisture on the track; Ferandez returned to the track in his primary car at 5:15 pm, posting a best lap of 220.420 mph.
