Adrian Fernandez, #5 Quaker State/Telmex/Tecate Panoz G Force/Honda/Firestone:

"It was a great day. We came up with a good plan, and we made it happen. We made some changes that really made the car much better in traffic, in different conditions and on my own. We have a very strong package and I'm very confident right now."

Tom Anderson, Co-Owner/Managing Director:

"Adrian had a very good day. He felt comfortable with the car, and also made some gains with his balance in traffic and ran some quick speeds so we are pleased with that. He worked on some pit stops late in the day as we move towards race weekend. There are a couple of things left to do over the next few days -- a few more laps on the T-car and a few shakedown laps with the primary car before the race engine comes in next week. Congratulations to Honda on the Louis Schwitzer Award for their engineering excellence; well-deserved and greatly appreciated."
