Fourth day full of frustration for CURB Team

The Indianapolis 500 is the biggest and most important race in all of Motorsports. Getting the racecar ready for the Indy 500 is the most painstaking, nerve-testing and often exasperating ordeal in the world. In theory, you have a week to "test" your car on the track. Tiny changes can offer big results, but on the other side of the coin, small setbacks can lead to big delays in readiness. You have good days and not so good days. Unfortunately, the CURB/Agajanian/Boat Indy Racing team faced a not so good day today.

When asked to sum it up, Billy Boat replied, "This was a little bit of a frustrating day for the Curb Records team. We tried some things with the primary car that I didn't like, so we brought out the back-up car with the same set-up. For whatever reason, we just had trouble getting speed out of the car. So, we'll go back, regroup and try again tomorrow. It's going to be really important that we start getting some consistently higher speeds out of the racecar tomorrow. "

Although weather delayed practice for the third day in a row, the green flag finally waved at 2:26pm. Billy Boat ran 16 laps in the #98 with a top speed of 222.930. The back-up car (#98T) completed 25 laps at a fast time of 222.702

Practice is scheduled to continue tomorrow, Thursday, May 9 at 11:00am. Qualifications are from 11:00am -- 6:00pm this Saturday, May 11.
