Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"My teammates had a better day than I did, which is good for them. I'll get a chance to go back and look at the notes that they had. The best thing about the first day is that we've got it under our belts. The XM Satellite Radio team needs to get a little bit more speed out of the car, but luckily we've still got some time to work on that."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We ran both cars today; my primary and my backup car. Team 7-Eleven had a good day today; everything went very smooth. Dan (Wheldon) was really hooked up and fast, so we'll get together and share some information. It was a great day for us, but it's early. We have a long way to go, but it was a good start."
Dario Franchitti, #27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We started off very well. The ArcaEx car was good straight out of the box. We made some changes throughout the day and made some good progress. The new surface on the Speedway is a big improvement, but it requires quite a different setup on the car."
Dan Wheldon, #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"This is the first day at Indianapolis and everybody gets excited because we're quick, but we've got four cars and with the test here, we were perhaps able to get a little further ahead than anyone else to start with. This is going to be a really, really good race and I think it's going to be very difficult to win. The Klein Tools/Jim Beam crew did a great job today getting the car ready and I'm pumped up."
