Michael Andretti, #1 Jim Beam/Vonage Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"Today was a little disappointing. We were a little slower today than we expected we'd be, so we're trying to figure out what the problem is. We just haven't put our finger on it yet. That's a little disappointing. We had a pretty good car yesterday. We'll keep working on the Jim Beam/Vonage car and see what happens."
Marco Andretti, #26 NYSE Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"Most of the day I was running on my own, no slipstream or anything, and am pretty pleased with the NYSE car. I was standing top 10 until the end of the day. The last run was kind of a bummer because I was flat through Turns 1 and 2 and had a pretty decent tow off of (Scott) Dixon and Dario (Franchitti) but there was a car that exited the pits right into the fast lane so I had to get out of it. That was going to be a good lap. I've already talked with my father and grandfather and they both told me that there are going to be many of those 'almost-good laps.'"
Dario Franchitti, #27 Klein Tools/Canadian Club Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"The rub with the wall today was just a mistake on my part. I spent the entire in-lap trying to come up with a reasonable excuse as to why it happened, but the only thing to blame on that was me. Luckily it wasn't a big problem. The Klein Tools/Canadian Club car was wheeled back out there, but it was a tough day. Right now we're just looking for a basic setup, then we'll start focusing more on qualifying."
Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"Today was just okay for us. The XM Satellite Radio car feels good but we still need a little more speed, so we're still working on that. The balance felt good and it's too bad that the rain kept us from going back out at the end of the day. I'm relatively pleased with what we got out of the first day."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We're trying to find some speed in the Team 7-Eleven car and we're obviously not there yet. The rain didn't help us at all but we still have a whole week to prepare. It was a clean day but we are going to have to work pretty hard to get where we want to be."
