Sharp Will Start Sixth in Toyota Indy 300
Scott Sharp will start on Row Three of the grid for the Toyota Indy 300 after qualifying the #8 Delphi Panoz/Honda/Firestone machine in sixth position this afternoon. Sharp, the most-experienced driver in the 22-car field, is preparing to make his 99th IRL IndyCar® Series career start tomorrow, and 91st consecutive start. In four previous appearances on Homestead-Miami Speedway's 1.5-mile oval, Sharp has posted three top-10 results, recording his best finish of fifth in 2003. His sixth-place run today equals his previous best qualifying effort at Homestead-Miami Speedway also from 2003.
Practice Recap: Sharp posted the fifth fastest time in the 30-minute practice session leading up to qualifying with a best lap of 25.0392 213.505 mph.

We have had a really strong car and I think we are going to have an even better car for the race. We made some minor adjustments and backed up our time from this morning under warmer conditions.
