Target Team Gets First Practice Under Their Belt at Miami

#9 Scott Dixon- Toyota / Panoz /Firestone

Scott Dixon's #9 Target car was the fastest Toyota powered car of the day.

"We had an okay day but the Target car was just not quite as comfortable as we would have liked it. The Target crew did a really good job making changes with such little time between the practice sessions with the schedule getting changed but we didn't quite get all the things we wanted to try done today. It definitely good to be back on track and to get the season started and I think we got thing off on the right foot today."

#10 Darren Manning- Toyota / Panoz /Firestone

"We had a few issues this morning and didn't get too many laps in that first session but having tested here last month the car was really strong right out of the box. We didn't go all out for speed because we want to get the car set up just right and already it feels really strong. It's really good in traffic and anywhere on the track really. We'll concentrate on qualifying tomorrow and looking to get ourselves in a good position for the race. I can't wait to get started."

#33 Ryan Briscoe- Toyota / Panoz /Firestone

Combined Practice Sessions Position: 16th

"It was pretty wild out there today and there is a lot to learn but I'm happy with how the weekend starting. I feel this Target team is very well prepared and Toyota is working very hard to make us competitive so I definitely well surrounded. I'm going to bide my time, play it smart and look for chances and take in as much as I can."
