Dario Franchitti, #27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We tried a lot of different setups on the ArcaEx car today. Some of them worked much better than others. We'll get together with the engineers and take a look at the data to see where we might make some changes, but I'm looking forward to having some more track time tomorrow to see if the ArcaEx team can make any further improvements."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We're struggling a little and are looking to find some more speed. It was a long day for the Team 7-Eleven crew because of the long rain delay. I know there's more to be had from the Team 7-Eleven car and I'm confident that we'll be where we need to be come race time."
Dan Wheldon, #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone
"We had a minor mechanical problem this afternoon that put us out, but I think in general the car is pretty quick. With the experience that the Klein Tools/Jim Beam team has, I know I'm not going to have a problem finding a good race car. It would have been nice to have been out there, but that's the way it goes. Certainly, the Klein Tools/Jim Beam team has given me a good baseline to start from tomorrow."
Bryan Herta Note
Bryan Herta did not participate in the second practice session because of an electrical problem in the first session.
Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone "To have the quickest time of the session doesn't do a lot for you, but it's a great feeling to start the first session of the first race of the year as the quickest. The XM Satellite Radio crew is still trying to get settled in and work with our setup. We're fairly happy with where we are. It's unfortunate that we had an electrical problem that forced us out of the second session, but at this time last year the XM Satellite Radio crew was thrashing to get all of our pit equipment built. This year we had a whole winter to prepare and I was really expecting us to come out of the box stronger this season, so hopefully this is a good indication that we have."
