HERTA DRIVES XM SATELLITE RADIO CAR TO 13TH POSITION IN QUALIFYING AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (March 5, 2005) - XM Satellite Radio driver Bryan Herta posted a best lap of 212.311 miles per hour (25.1801 seconds) today to capture the 13th starting position for Sunday's opening race of the 2005 Indy Racing League® IndyCar® Series season. The Homestead-Miami Indy 300 is set to go green tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. (EST) with ESPN providing live coverage beginning at 2 p.m. (EST). ESPN2 will also carry the race live from various in- car cameras, including one in Herta's XM Satellite Radio machine. During the broadcast on ESPN2, Herta will also be speaking with on-air talent Kenny Brack during the parade laps and following pit stops.

Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "We had a little bit of an electrical gremlin yesterday and we're still chasing it today. The fast cars always get to the front at this place, so we just have to make sure that we have one of those cars. The XM Satellite Radio car was comfortable. It's just unfortunate that we didn't get a good qualifying run in today, but hopefully our car will be fast in the race."
