St. Louis: Robby McGehee finished 12th in front of his hometown crowd in his return to the No.55 ABC Atlas Van Lines entry for Treadway-Hubbard Racing. McGehee started 22nd and worked his way through the field before encountering gear box problems late in the race that cost him a position or two on the final re-start.

"It was great to be back with the Treadway team," said McGehee. "Our pit stops were fantastic. Not only were they fast, but the crew was able to make a tire-pressure adjustment which really worked. It felt like I was back at home again with Skip (Faul) on the radio and Tim Wardrop doing the engineering. I wish I could run some more races with these guys."

This was McGehee's first start with the Treadway team since the 2000 season where he had an IRL career best finish of second at the Texas Motor Speedway. This was his second best finish of the 2002 season.

The next race is the Delphi Indy 300 from the Chicagoland Speedway on September 8th. The race can be seen on ABC television at 1 p.m. EDT.
