PDM Offers Sneak Peak
The crew meticulously put in some extra hours this weekend to finish preparing the Metabolife Ultra #18 PDM Racing Dallara. "We left the shop late Saturday," said Crew Chief Paul Murphy. "Once we finished the car, we loaded the truck in preparation for an early departure on Sunday."
PDM co-owner Larry Arnold was on hand to help out. "The car looks great, and the guys worked hard getting it ready," said Arnold. "I think the fans and the folks at Metabolife will be pleased."
First practice begins at 9 am on Friday. We will keep you up to date throughout the weekend.
Team Looks to Improve; Prepares for Fontana
The PDM crew is putting the final touches to its Metabolife Ultra #18 PDM Racing Dallara. The tub and body work came back from the paint shop with an all new look, which will debut at the Toyota Indy 400 in Fontana, California. "We are excited to show off the new paint scheme in California," said Paul Diatlovich. "The Metabolife people will be very proud too see their colors, and we think there will be a good turn out from them. They are based in San Diego, so this is a big race for them, and for PDM."
PDM driver Ed Carpenter is looking forward to the race in Fontana.
"This will be my first time running at Fontana," said Ed. "It appears to be very similar to Michigan, and I have a lot of laps there, so I am confident going into the weekend. We had a good result in Chicago, and we need to back that performance up. Now that I have a few pit stops and restarts under my belt, I know what I need to improve on. The PDM guys got a chance to knock the rust off in Chicago, because it was the first time they've done a stop since Indy."
The truck will pull out and head for California on Sunday. The rest of the crew will fly out on Wednesday. Look for the #18 Metabolife Ultra Dallara on Sunday, September 21st.
