Fontana, CA (October 2, 2004)--- Qualifying for Sunday's Toyota Indy 400 is now complete and Scott Sharp, driver of the No. 8 Delphi entry, will start 15th for the 200-lap event. Helio Castroneves will start from the pole after posting a fast speed of 217.479 mph. Sunday's race is set for a 12:00 p.m. green flag and will be televised live on ESPN.

Scott Sharp, No. 8 Delphi/Dallara/Toyota/Firestone--- Quote

"Hats off to the Delphi guys, everyone did a great job-- Andy Borme my engineer and the rest of the guys. You always want to run your fastest time in qualifying and we trimmed it out as good as we could and the balance was much better. Hopefully we found a few things this afternoon that will help us for tomorrow's race. I think we'll be in a good spot for tomorrow because the key thing at California Speedway is having a car that works well in traffic. Even if you start 15th as long as you have a good car you can work your way forward."
