Dixon regains points lead!
Scott Dixon -- No. 9 Target Toyota
Point Standings -- 1st -- 467 points
"It was good day for us. We gained a lot of points today and now we're tied with Helio (Castroneves) in the championship. The car was really good on new tires, but we struggled a little on old tires. Team Target did a great job in the pits today and we made up a lot of spots on that last stop. Sam (Hornish) had a great car and he was going to be very tough to get there at the end. I need to thank Toyota as well for giving us a strong engine out there. We'll head on to Texas and see what happens. We're going to need to finish ahead of these guys again and it's going to be a great race for the fans."
Tomas Scheckter -- No. 10 Target Toyota
Point Standings -- 7th -- 341 points
"We had a great car at the beginning of the race. We led a bunch of laps again, but we lost the handle on the car towards the end. It started to get loose and started to slide around on the track. It's great to get another top-5 finish, but it's hard to get so close to winning and have it slip away. We had a great test down in Texas last week and I'm looking forward to heading down there next month and see what we can do."
Dixon moves into the points lead for the first time since Michigan (7/27).
In the 10 races that Dixon has finished this season, he has finished 6th twice, 5th once, second four times and won the other 3 races. That's an average finish of 2.8.
Team Target drivers occupy the top-2 spots in the laps led category. Dixon extended his lead in the laps led category to 691. Tomas Scheckter led 112 laps today, the fourth time this season that he has accomplished that feat. Scheckter stands second with 491. The team has led over 38% of all the laps run this season.
Team Target has led a lap in 14 of the 15 races this year.
Scott Dixon has led a lap in 13 of the 15 races run this season.
Dixon has qualified 6th or better in 14 straight races and has won 5 poles in the last 13 races.
