Dana Point, California (June 9,1999) - The Dick Simon Racing Team continues to grow with the announcement of a team manager and director of marketing today.
Emmanuel Lupe, 37, from Paris France brings fifteen years of motorsports experience to the Pep Boys Indy Racing League team.
Emmanuel‘s responsibilities will include coordination and organization of the different racing team departments; liaison with driver, technical staff and team owner; overseeing sponsorship development, marketing, public relations, travel and hospitality and increasing profitability to make Dick Simon Racing a winning contender for years to come.
Emmanuel Lupe is the former owner of Formula Project racing team where he won three French F3 series titles in five years. Before forming his own F3 team, Emmanuel Lupe spent seven years (1984 to 1990) working for some of the best Formula One teams in the F1 World Championship. In Formula One his activities included, public relations, marketing, team management and business development. His other experiences include being part of the public relations department of the Olympic Organizing Committee for the 1984 Sarajevo and 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics.
