Fernandez Qualifies 10th at Chicagoland

Adrian Fernandez will make his first career start at Chicagoland Speedway from Row Five of the grid after qualifying 10th for Sunday's Delphi Indy 300. Fernandez, who sits seventh in the championship and only two points out of sixth place, claimed his first IRL IndyCar® Series win at Kentucky Speedway, the most recent 1.5-mile oval race. Tomorrow's 200-lap event will mark his 13th IndyCar Series race. Fernandez has finished in the top eight in eight of 12 starts to date.

Adrian Fernandez, #5 Quaker State/Telmex/Tecate Panoz G Force/Honda/Firestone:

"Qualifying was fine. Obviously, we would have liked to have qualified a little bit better. We did a better time yesterday. Tomorrow is going to be a tough race. At this track, you can run three wide so there is going to be a pack of cars together all the time. It's a race that we'll have to be smart and be careful to make sure to not get in trouble. I think we have a good car for the race. We ran well in traffic yesterday, so I think we are looking good."
