Yasukawa confident heading into Delphi Indy 300
The IRL IndyCar Series travels to Chicagoland Speedway this weekend for the Delphi Indy 300, Round 14 of the 16-race season. Located in Joliet, the third fastest-growing city in Illinois, the 1.5-mile D-shaped tri-oval is within an hour's drive of Chicago. Deemed the state's largest sporting facility, Chicagoland Speedway has been hosting IRL competition since it opened in 2001.
Super Aguri Fernandez Racing conducted a successful test at Chicagoland on August 27, and rookie talent Roger Yasukawa is looking to make the most of that valuable seat time this weekend. Yasukawa claimed his career-best IndyCar Series finish to date of seventh on the 1.5-mile oval at Kansas Speedway, and will be looking to improve on that result in Sunday's 200-lap/300-mile race.
The Delphi Indy 300 will be broadcast live on ABC beginning at 2:00 pm ET.

Best IRL career finish to date was seventh in Kansas City
"This will be my first race at Chicagoland, but since we tested here already, I am confident going into the race. We had a very successful test, and we were able to try some things we always wanted to try. We know what works and what doesn't, and we know the direction we need to go on the race setup. I am getting better on the 1.5-mile and superspeedway tracks, and I am really looking forward to the last three events starting with Chicagoland."
